About the Program

Founded in 2018, the Dodd Interdisciplinary Fellows program reflects the School of Art’s commitment to interdisciplinary inquiry. Fellows are expected to engage in advanced research and participate fully in the department’s intellectual life, fostering generative exchange with graduate students in art, art history, and art education.

Applications from graduate students working in any discipline at the University of Georgia are welcome and are reviewed each spring for the following academic year by a panel of art school faculty. Applications must include a letter of nomination from a current School of Art faculty member, a Statement of Intent, and a CV.

Fellows are chosen on the basis of their academic and creative excellence and the interdisciplinarity of their current research. All fellows receive a modest private studio space within the School of Art and are expected to present their research publicly in the course of their year-long fellowship.
